The Andhra Pradesh government has rolled out the DWCRA Women Unnathi Scheme 2025 to promote financial independence among women belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Through this scheme, eligible DWCRA women can avail of interest-free loans ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹5 lakh to start or expand small-scale businesses.
The Unnathi Scheme aims to support rural SC/ST women who wish to set up self-employment ventures or small industries. By providing zero-interest loans, the government intends to help women generate sustainable income and contribute to their family's financial stability.

Applicant must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
Belong to the SC or ST community.
Must be a member of a DWCRA or SHG group.
Should have a plan to start or expand a small business.
Must hold an active bank account.
Eligible women can apply through their local DWCRA group. The applications are verified at the village level by the Village Organization Assistants (VOAs) and Assistant Project Managers (APMs). Approved applications are then forwarded to banks for final sanctioning of the loan amount.
The scheme provides loan insurance protection-in case of the borrower's death, the outstanding loan amount is waived off, ensuring the family remains free from financial burden.
