Andhra Pradesh Nethanna Bharosa: ₹25,000 Financial Support for Handloom Families
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has brought good news for the handloom weavers’ community. Under the Nethanna Bharosa Scheme, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced ₹25,000 financial assistance for every eligible handloom family.
Minister Savitha revealed the decision during a review meeting at the Handlooms & Textiles Commissionerate in Mangalagiri.

Timely Mudra loans to be provided for weavers
Free power scheme for handloom families (200–500 units depending on eligibility)
Promotion of sales through APCO showrooms and e-commerce
New designs to be marketed via social media for better reach

₹4,000 pension for eligible handloom workers from the age of 50
Thrift fund allocations for financial security
5% GST exemption efforts underway for handloom products
Establishment of textile clusters and parks across the state
Awareness programs on free power and welfare schemes at village level
One District – One Product (ODOP)
Commissioner Rekha Rani explained that 36 unique products have been identified across districts under the ODOP initiative. Minister Savitha urged officials to promote these products widely. Andhra Pradesh has already won 9 national ODOP awards, and the target is to win more in the coming year.
Sales & Marketing Initiatives
Last year, APCO recorded ₹35.6 crore sales, and this year the goal is higher
Handloom and handicraft products will also be sold at APCO showrooms in airports
Emphasis on social media promotion and e-commerce sales to attract modern consumers
Government’s Commitment
Minister Savitha stressed that the government is committed to the welfare and empowerment of handloom weavers, ensuring timely loans, subsidies, pensions, and marketing support. She also warned officials against any delays in providing benefits and directed them to hold awareness camps and success meets at village level.
