The Andhra Pradesh Government is preparing to roll out another landmark welfare initiative aimed at strengthening healthcare access for all. Under the upcoming "Sanjeevani Scheme", every family in the state will be eligible for free medical treatment up to ₹25 lakhs per year.
Implemented as part of the Universal Health Policy.
Applicable to all families irrespective of income levels.
Coverage of ₹25 lakhs per family per year.
Treatment available across 2,493 network hospitals under the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.
3,257 types of treatments to be provided free of cost.
Around 1.63 crore families already registered under NTR Vaidya Seva Trust to be covered.
Additionally, 8.6 lakh families (employees, pensioners, and above-poverty-line families) to be included.
For medical expenses up to ₹2.5 lakhs, the government will pay the premium to insurance companies.
Beyond this limit, up to ₹25 lakhs per family, the expenses will be covered through the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust.
The scheme aims to provide comprehensive health security to every citizen of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized that healthcare for the poor remains his top priority. Ministers added that Andhra Pradesh continues to lead in implementing welfare schemes that are not seen anywhere else in the country.
