AP Govt’s New Scheme: ₹1 Lakh Loan for DWCRA Women to Support Children’s Education
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced a major relief for DWCRA women, introducing a new scheme that offers loans up to ₹1 lakh to support their children’s education—from KG to PG.

Loan amount ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000 per student
The scheme is supported by annual budget allocation of ₹200 crore
Beneficiaries must submit bills/proof of expenditure to Velugu staff after using the loan
Implementation
The loans will be provided through Stree Nidhi Cooperative Credit Federation Ltd.
Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) can apply for loans on behalf of their children
Applications are being accepted district-wise through Velugu offices
Repayment Terms
Flexible repayment with monthly installments
Duration: 2 to 3 years (24–36 months)
Designed to avoid burdening poor families while ensuring continuous education

This scheme aims to ensure that no child drops out of school or college due to financial issues. Special emphasis is given to rural poor families and women SHG members, enabling them to provide quality education to their children.
