The Andhra Pradesh government runs the Mission Vatsalya Scheme to support children who are orphaned, have lost one or both parents, or are suffering from long-term illnesses. Under this scheme, children aged 1-18 years who are in vulnerable circumstances receive ₹4,000 per month to cover education, healthcare, and other essential needs.
The financial assistance is shared between the Central Government (₹2,400) and the State Government (₹1,600). The scheme is implemented by the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare. So far, two phases of financial support have been provided, and applications are now open for the third phase.

Family annual income must be:
Rural areas: ₹72,000 or less
Urban areas: ₹96,000 or less
Eligible children must have a bank account to receive the funds.

Applications can also be submitted through Anganwadi workers, supervisors, or CDPOs.
