The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced a special provision under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme to support widows. Eligible women whose husbands have passed away can now receive a monthly pension of ₹4,000. Officials urge beneficiaries to apply at their village or ward secretariats to avail of this assistance.
Authorities have clarified that applications for pension transfers or other changes must also be submitted by October 10. To apply, eligible women need to submit:
Husband's death certificate
Aadhaar card
Other relevant documents
Once the application is verified, the pension is disbursed starting from the next month. This ensures timely financial support for families after the loss of the primary earner.
The Spouse Category under NTR Bharosa was introduced to provide immediate relief to widows. Since its implementation in November 2023, the scheme has covered women whose husbands passed away between December 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024.
Eligible widows can submit their applications every month to ensure uninterrupted pension payments. The scheme also allows for pension transfers, enabling beneficiaries to receive payments at convenient locations and reducing travel and transport expenses.
Beneficiaries wishing to transfer their pension can apply at the village or ward secretariat. The government website also provides an online option, where applicants must provide:
Pension ID
New address for pension transfer
District, mandal, and secretariat details
Once the request is processed, the pension amount is credited to the new account or location.
Through this initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government aims to ensure financial stability and independence for widows, helping them manage household expenses and sustain their livelihood without delay.
Eligible women are encouraged to apply immediately to receive the monthly ₹4,000 pension under the NTR Bharosa Spouse Category, ensuring continuous support and security for their families.
