The Central Government is offering scholarships to children of beedi workers to support their education and encourage them to pursue higher studies. Many talented students from economically weaker families drop out due to financial constraints. To bridge this gap, the Ministry of Labour and Employment is providing annual scholarships under the Beedi Workers' Children Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2025-26.
Objective: Encourage children of beedi workers to continue education and reduce dropout rates.
Scholarship Amount: ₹1,000 to ₹25,000 per year, depending on eligibility and educational level.
Eligibility:
Students must have passed Class 10 or Intermediate directly (supplementary passes are not eligible)
Distance education students are not eligible
Family income: Must not exceed ₹10,000 per month

Parent's PF ID card
Student's bank account
Marks sheet of the last academic year
Recent income certificate issued by revenue authorities
Separate bank accounts for multiple children in the family
