The Karnataka Government's Bhagyalakshmi Yojana provides financial assistance to girls born in Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. Girls born in 2006-07 who have now completed 18 years of age can apply for the maturity benefit of ₹1,27,000 under this scheme.

Eligible girls (or parents) must submit the required documents to the nearest Child Development Project Office (ICDS Office) in their taluk before October 30, 2025.
After the deadline, no applications will be accepted or considered.
According to the official press release from the Child Development Project Officer, Badami, all girls born in 2006-07 who have completed 18 years must apply by October 30, 2025, to claim their ₹1.27 lakh maturity benefit.
The Bhagyalakshmi Scheme was launched to encourage the birth of girl children in economically weaker families. Initially implemented through the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), it is now linked with the Sukanya Samriddhi Account under the Postal Department. The Karnataka Government continues to manage and fund the scheme to ensure financial empowerment and education of girl children.
