மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் திரு. மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் அவர்கள், செப்டம்பர் 15, 2025 அன்று சென்னை கலைவாணர் அரங்கத்தில், பெற்றோரை இழந்த அல்லது கைவிடப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளுக்காக "அன்புக்கரங்கள் திட்டம்" (Anbu Karangal Scheme) என்ற புதிய நலத்திட்டத்தை தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
The scheme is a social welfare initiative aimed at supporting children who have lost both parents, or those with a single parent unable to care for them, by providing ₹2,000 monthly financial assistance until they turn 18 and complete school education.
பெற்றோரை இழந்த குழந்தைகள் பள்ளிப்படிப்பை இடைநிற்றல் இன்றி தொடர உதவி செய்தல்.

The government's primary goal is to prevent school dropouts, improve living standards of orphaned/abandoned children, and prepare them for higher education and future employment opportunities.
Eligible children will receive ₹2,000 per month directly in their bank account.
Financial support until age 18 or completion of schooling.
After school, support will extend to college education and skill development training.
Beneficiary children who pursue higher studies will also get laptops and other learning support.
This scheme covers children who are:
Permanent residents of Tamil Nadu.
Orphaned - lost both parents.
Lost one parent and the surviving parent is:
Unable to care due to illness/disability.
Abandoned the child.
In prison.
Belonging to poor and economically weaker sections.
Application forms can be submitted at "Ungaludan Stalin" special camps held in every district.

Family Card
Birth Certificate
Age Proof
Passport-sized Photograph
Applications will be verified by officials, after which the beneficiary list will be published.
Eligible children will start receiving the monthly ₹2,000 assistance directly in their bank account.
The scheme was launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai.
At the state-level event, the CM distributed scholarship cards and laptops to beneficiaries.
In Tiruchirappalli, the event was presided over by School Education Minister Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, who distributed ID cards to eligible children.
Based on field verification, 377 children in Trichy district have been identified as beneficiaries in the first phase.
Across Tamil Nadu, the government announced that 6,082 children will benefit initially under the scheme.
