Telangana Pranam Scheme Explained: Timings, Facilities, Free Food and Medical Care

Telangana Government Launches New Scheme for Senior Citizens: Free Food, Medicines and Day Care Services

The Telangana government has rolled out a new welfare initiative for senior citizens under the name “Pranam”, aimed at improving their physical health, mental well-being and social engagement. As part of this scheme, multi-service day care centres are being set up across the state to provide free food, medical care and recreational facilities to elderly citizens.

The Pranam Day Care Centres were formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the 12th of this month at Praja Bhavan. The government stated that the initiative is designed to ensure dignity, care and a joyful environment for senior citizens.

At present, the centres have been launched in select locations. However, the government plans to establish one multi-service day care centre in every constituency in the near future.
